The Crisis & The Mission

Water is life, culture, and economic growth. Yet plastic pollution threatens our beaches while millions lack basic access to clean water.

The Crisis

Ghana generates roughly 1 million tonnes of plastic waste annually. Thousands of tonnes end up in coastal waters, choking marine life and threatening local livelihoods.

Over 5 million Ghanaians still lack direct access to clean drinking water, while nearly 19 million rely on unsafe water sources daily.

Threatening Tourism & Coastal Ecosystems

The Solution

Wataland Festival merges celebration with social impact. We mobilize resources, raise awareness, and clean up Ghana's coastlines.

Over the coming decade, our targets are:

  • Remove 1 Million Kilograms (1,000 tonnes) of plastic from beaches.
  • Construct 10 Boreholes delivering clean water to rural communities.
